Rugby in Croke Park

Today we've been watching Rugby in the Major Tom's Pub in town, IRELAND -v- FRANCE, very nice to watch the match with hundreds of Irishmen and shouting "Allez Les Bleus!" in between them. But luckily they are very peaceful, even in a tough and close loss.


Not as peaceful as they have been some 12-year-old girls in the bus to town, actually they started shouting and spitting at us, I still don't know really why, but nevertheless, in the end the bus driver told a policemen outside, and he picked them out, probably brought them home to their parents...

Mini Big Brother!

The RAG week is coming again, and one of the this year features is the Mini Brother, small form of Big Brother, but just 5 people and just four days, anyway, crazy isn't it? I've been told that the name actually arised last year, when the Mini Brother event took first place, and the name says it, in a Mini, yes a Mini... 5 people, 4 days, in a small Mini. That's Ireland!

Snow!

Unbelievable but true, it snowed!


My back is hurting, not from the snow, though, but from the volleyball training yesterday. It seems I'm not used to this kind of movement anymore. Nevertheless, I'm going to the Handball tonight...
Term started on Monday this week, I'm glad I have a nice timetable, the earliest lesson is on thursday at 9am, and the other days, there's nothing before 11am! Nice, isn't it?

World Champion!

I know I'm late to announce this, but nevertheless, the German Olympic Handball Team won the championships!
I'm glad I had the opportunity to watch the match, in the Frazer's, huge pub at the top of O'Connel Streat. Actually the funny thing is, we watched the game on "Polsat", and you are right in guessing that Polsat is a polnish TV channel, so we had polnish commentary and a lot of polnish guys, they've been more actually, who watched the match whith us. It was nice to see how patriotic they are, e.g. they stood up for their national anthem and sang it very very loud! Luckily they've been very good loosers, so there was no problem at all in watching the game together.
This is my new jumper by the way...
