that's it

My first semester, apart from the exams in january, is over! On this saturday, I'll return to Germany for about 3 weeks, so I hope I'll find some time to see you all. I heard there will be a 'Eulenfest' on the 20th of December. So perhaps there are some of you guys, I think I'll be there if nothing serious happens.

Dinner Menu & Dance Night

After a long night on saturday, with a genius Director concert, we decided to stay in the town to go for some pints. So we started, together with Laetitia who joined us, a little pub crawl. Maguire's, Doyle's, two tries to go to Café-en-Seine, which failed because of the huge queue outside, Kehoe's and a pub in Temple Bar, I'm sorry, but I forgot the name. But nevertheless it was very funny there, we spoke with some people, beneath them a very drunk guy from Liverpool, I think he was about 35 and he kept on showing us photographs of his son. And it was really hard to understand him, drunk Liverpool accent...
The next day, sunday, Martin and me went to town, to visit Dublin. So we walked around, to Guinness brewery and all the stuff which is on the way there, and finally we drank a coffee in Bewley's and ended up in the Porterhouse, watching the sunday's football match Arsenal vs. Chelsea. Later in the evening, we met Laetita and Melissa again, to got to the Arlington Hotel, to have a very good diner with live music and a kind of Riverdance step show.

the directors

Not much to do at the moment, I'm waiting for Martin, who should land right now at the airport, and who seemed to be very eager to find his own way to my apartment, so I don't have to pick him up.
We're going to a concert of the directors tonight in the ambassador theatre, right on the top of O'Connel Street for those who have been here already.
I think we gonna have a Dublin-in-one-day-by-me-tour tomorrow, with the Guinness brewery and all these funny stuff.
I think I should give an award for comment-writing to ferdi, as he's definitely the most frequent and eager comment writer on my blog! thanks for that, I think the award will be a free beer in the time around X-mas. Hope you'll appreciate it ;)

good news

I survived the weekend! But it was quite hard, not that much sleep and 6 volleyball matches, each 24 minutes on saturday, and one on sunday.
I went up there with some girls from the premier division team, namely Beca, Rushelle and Laetitia. On saturday was a fancy dress party in a kind of hotel pub, really awesome, we had all to dress up as cowboys or something similar, it just had to be kind of western style. And I can announce, that the DCU volleyball club is definitely the most partying club which was there. We kept on staying in the pub long after the music stopped to sing and dance. Very funny.
As some of you are perhaps interested in the marks I got for my tests, it was 68%, 86%, 87% and 96%. So I'm pretty happy about it.
Another announcement is perhaps that Martin will visit me next saturday! I have no program yet, but I think we manage to organise something.
Tomorrow morning will be another Volleyball match, against Trinity college, at 10.30am, so I have to cancel at least one lecture to play, but I think there are really worse things than that.

lazy boy

Sorry folks, I'm kind of lazy in the moment concerning to report what I do and what's going on here.
I got 3 of 4 tests back, all very good, and I think the forth will be no exception.
This weekend I will be in Northern Ireland, playing a volleyball tournament. They predicted us lots of parties, so I think it's going to be very tiring, but let's see.
Two weeks, and I'll be back in Germany for a little while, I'm starting to look really forward to some days at home, as I got already some nice appointments there. A hopefully genious Across The Border concert and perhaps one or two days in the entertainment center called University of Karlsruhe, somebody promised to drink one or two coffees with me, and attend very funny lectures.
If anybody has a good suggestion what to do at silvester, let me know, because I have still no clue what to do.
Greetings to all, especially to those who keep contacting me! Thank you! Tom
